the challenge
The goal of this project was to create a gift set comprised of 3 items of no more than $100. With these 3 items in mind, I was tasked to create a brand identity, brand language, and packaging design unique to the items selected and the concept behind the items.
the approach
As a person with a period, I wished there was a product where I could try out different menstrual products instead of trying to buy everything individually. When creating Paragon, I wanted a brand that anyone could pick up without the usual embarrassment associated with buying period products. Paragon not only aids people in picking their perfect period product but educates how to use, clean, and discard each product. People with periods should be proud of their excellence!

what i learned
This project was a passion project of mine. The market for menstrual products falls under two categories, hyper-feminine and neutral generic. Neither is appealing to me as a designer, so why not change that? Paragon targets a trendy youthful audience. I recognize that all different kinds of people have periods and being inclusive was important to me. Inclusive language and fun packaging that doesn’t feel like you’re picking up an embarrassing box of pads or tampons.
